Hollywood Hopes & my mistake

HI
First, my mistake. I told you guys to click on the envelope at the end of my blog and I should have said click on the link where it takes you to the comments. Like right now, I think it says 4 COMMENTS. Click that :)
I guess you can tell I don't often cruise blogs, but I should. Some of my writer friends write great ones.
Also -- I've heard privately from some of you who think a PHANTOM STALLION director should look at new, fresh talent -- Phantom readers like YOU. What do you guys think of that? Any one with experience out there?
Happy trails,
Terri

P.S.

I love you all and trust you to be kind to one another on my blog. This is the first time I've opened up the comments this way and I'd like to keep doing it.
It's VERY early in the movie going, and we could all be ten years older by the time it (fingers crossed) hits the screen!
Even if you're a mother with children of your own by then, I hope you'll come see it!

Just so I can act. that's how much I love it. I keep reading your books over and over again they never get old. I have been in a commercial for the library in my town and I did it for free. Katie "wanna be Sam Forster" Bucklein
Hi Terri! It's Crystal from Australia! I would LOVE to play Jen if they made a Phantom Stallion movie! I have blonde hair and blue eyes and I've been riding since I was nine years old. Me and my best friend always used to say when we were younger, and near the beginning of the series, that she'd be good as Sam and she always pointed out that I suited Jen's character. I've also taken acting classes before at Actor's Ink and I'm good at learning lines. I've studied drama at school throughout highschool and I've had experience with young, unbroken, and agitated and restless horses (temperamental :P ). I'm also just about to complete my Certificate 2 in Racing which gives me experience as a Stablehand where I'm constantly handling horses at Lindsay Park in the Barossa. I'm also only two weeks away from finishing school forever so I'll have plenty of spare time! :) if you want any more information feel free to email me at horsesrok@hotmail.com :)

Best Wishes!
Crystal Rasmus xo

Katie, by posting my comment I wasn't asking for anyone to reply in such a way. I didn't reply to yours and shatter your hopes. I'm probably no good at judging who would be a good actor or not, but I don't put you down in a blog that anyone can read. I never said I was better than you, and I never said that I didn't know how young Sam is in the series, I've read it over and over and I know I'm year 12 but that doesn't mean I don't still have dreams and wishes like you. This isn't a competition as to who's done the most riding or been in the most plays, or even who's been on tv, I was just hurt that you would write that and I'm sorry you think dreams end after 9th grade, because they only become larger in reality.
Hey Terri, my names Eli, im Crystals best friend and glad to be:)we love your books and are always amazed how much Sam and Jen resemble us,we have talked so much about how we wish someone would make a TV series or movie of The Phantom Stallion Series! Crystal and i were talking earlia and when she told me the news i couldn't beleive it!I really hope this idea carries on, it would be such a huge sucess and so much fun. I have brown hair and eyes and have been riding since i was seven, i love horses and love to dress up and act,Crystal and I used to pretend we were in movies when we were kids and it was so much fun!I can't imagin how good it would be to do it for real! I will aslo have alot of free time soon because we finish school forever in two weeks!yayyyyy!

All the best

Please forgive me. I feel horrible right now. I didn't intend for it to squash anyones dreams, like Tinkerbell's hooves, in "Gift Horse", could smash a cowboy hat. I really, am truly, extremely sorry. Please forgive me again. Both Terri, and Crystal. Read my other comments if they get posted and you'll understand. And the email I sent both of you. PLEASE FORGIVE ME!
I was thrilled to hear that there is finally actual talk of a movie! I really hope it works out and I REALLY hope they stick to the story and don't turn the story into something else. Please don't take this the wrong way but could you please try to keep them from turning it into a political push for mustangs? You know... let the story speak for the mustangs without changing the whole plot. After all I fell in love with the story of a girl like me and her special bond with her beloved horse and all the adventures she shares with her friends and animals. I love Sam for her spirit and never die attitude and how she follows her heart... and that whenever she can't do it on her own she always has a friend ready to lend a hand for her even if they don't agree completely. I also would L-O-V-E, LOVE to be able to help with it! I would of course like to have a chance to play a character but if not that I would enjoy helping in the background. There are so many ways I could help... like of course they would need people to help with the animals and I would love to be able to give advise so it would be close to the way the books are (or atleast my opinion of the settings and such ;-) lol). I think they really must start it just as it is in the book.... Sam and her dad in a pickup driving down a dusty Nevada road... she sees a fleeting whisper of the phantom then they arrive at the ranch. And in my opinion the part where she first talks to Jake and her dad tells her that would have been a prime opertunity to keep her mouth closed has got to be in there. There are so many scenes from PS that I love and my sisters and I still reference... like where Sam and Jake are (i think) trying to save... the Phantom? or is it Sunny? I can't remember but I love the part where she over hears the bad guy (I forget which one... Flick I think) talking about how him and Dr. Winchester can handle it. Then later she tells Jake and he is like OH MY GOSH SAM! lol Anyways, I know I am kinda too old since I am now 19 but I think i could play Sam well... we are so much the same. Plus people think I am 16 or younger alot and not having to work around child labor laws would sure help the film crew. I was actually part of a movie once. Just an extra but my dad knew the director from high school so we went nearly everyday to the set for about two months. I was actually a stunt double for Emma Roberts... You should see the movie. I bet you would like it. It's called Grand Champion (never made it very big). It's about a little boy and his orphan show steer. My name is in the credits twice! If you do get it worked out please be sure to let me know if they are having auditions. I know several fans who I think would rock at different parts... and I just love hanging out behind scenes and helping. Plus I have a few good horses! lol I hope everything works!Sorry if I rambled too much... I am excited!
WOW! When are they having auditions? SOOOOOO cool. I hope it doesn't take ten years!
