Jonah of WILD HORSE ISLAND

Dear Readers,
If you've read any of the WHI books, you'll know Jonah Kealoha, Darby's grandfather.
I selected his first name very carefully. Do any of you know its significance?
Best,
Terri

Comments: Jonah was swallowed by a whale. Was your Jonah swallowed too? Or does it go 'deeper' than that?
Because the Jonah of the Bible got a second chance?
  The Bible story perhaps?
i never thought of it before. how is it significant?
Could it be the story of Jonah and the whale? Is that where you got your first name for Darby's grandfather? I love your books! May the horses and spirit of wild horse island always run free!

You guys are too smart! Yes, it's because Jonah got a second chance to be a good parent (sort of) with Darby, after being a not-so-good dad with her mother!
No whales...unless someone wanted to say I write a whale of a story. :) Of course I wouldn't say such a thing.
WHI seems to be having a lot of second chance people, for instance Cade he gave Jonah a second chance at being a good 'parent' and Cade got a chance to 'fix' up his life.Another one would be Jonah and Ellen!
OOOH! I thought that and then i thought, there arent any whales in wild horse island books. that's really cool.
