Pen & Cygnet



Swans mate for life.
Female swans are called PENS.
Baby swans are called CYGNETS.

Comments: OK, yes, I read these facts online, but they are interesting (and I think true), so here they are.

Swans originated in Afghanistan.

There quacks (supposably) attract otters and salmon.

The male's wing can hit stuff hard enough to break a man's arm.

Both males and females can fly from 50-60 miles per hour.

The beauty of the swan is one of the reasons for the swan to be considered as a royal bird in England and all swans found in the open waters belong to the crown.

A pen's (mother swan) call to her young sounds sort of like a yipping dog.
  My sibling has a friend who ticked off a swan and got bit in the area. O.O Yeah...take my advice and NEVER get a swan angry.
