Be HEARD for the HERD


Dear Readers,
Some members of Congress are really working hard to save American horses from slaughter. Congress has only been back in session for a few days, and a bill has already been introduced to help.
And here's a totally simple -- it will take you about two minutes -- way to let your voice be heard for the herd!
Click on the link below, enter your zip code & follow the directions. The site even has a place to click to insert different pre-written messages. Of course you can write one of your own.

Here's mine:

Dear Congressman Heller:
Please use your vote to fight slaughter of American horses.
Ending the illegal trade of Nevada's wild horses, leaving them as a tourist attraction, makes more sense.
I recently worked with the Wild Horse Preservation League and was APPROVED for a grant toward that end.
Why not let the horses pay their own way?

Comments: I did this immediatly after I read that. I can't stand them taking horses off the range for no good reason. SPEAK UP FOR THSOE WHO CAN'T BE HEARD!!!!!! :D

This happened awhile ago, back in April of 2008, but I was wondering if you knew anything about it...=( it's sad to me, if it's true.

Thank u; when I pressed BE HEARD on this blog; a screen with a little box to enter my Zip Code appreared; so I entered my Zip code at the top of the screen;

then a form appeared for me to write to my Congressman in my state of Conn. which I did; then I just entered the last 4 digits of my zip code and pressed send; then a message appeared which said messge snet to my Congressman;

I wrote this to my Congressman conn

Hello Congressman:

I was just wondering if you are aware of this Bill;

transporting American bred Horses to Mexico and Canada is not in the Horses' best interest;

Do you think family Pets should be sent to Mexico and Canada to be face an uncertain fate? I do not !

This is a horrible disrespect to America's Horses;

Brith Control for Wild Mustangs is the answer...or Wild Horse reguges;

Let's stop the cruelty to Equines until they are safe...Thank you;AR

I hope they find u as soon as they can;
