You are so thoughtful!

Dear Readers,
Quite a few of you have emailed me because you saw the northern Nevada fires on television or read news reports about them.
I live in an area which burns almost every summer, so we're as "used to" it as people can be, but this one started just about a mile from my front door. Luckily, it burned away from us.
Still, the horses didn't care for the smell or the helicopters with huge buckets of water flying overhead. Whiskey, a Quarter Horse gelding, was rearing and neighing as if he could snatch the fire bombers out of the air. I, however, was really glad to see them!
