  it means you'll look silly and foolish if you pretend to be something greater than you really are
  Oh and one more comment: I think the meaning of this poem advise is don't write about what your not or what you don't believe in because it will just make you end up looking rediculous or just plain fake.

I think you're ALL pretty great, though :)
  I think it means that you don't have to have the "look" to feel special and magical.

That and a plunger will leave a nasty hickey on your forehead!
  It means that you shouldn't let people judge you for what they think you 'should' be. So instead of trying to live up to everyone else's expectations, be yourself both inside and out.
