Beautiful horse: 18 cents/lb.

Dear Readers,
This is very sad.
Click here to see a photo of an auctioned Standardbred gelding sold for slaughter.
The photo was taken by race rider Alex Brown, a trustworthy source.

I think im going to scream... and there are girls and boys all over the world who want a horse. The slaughter houses claim so many. Question: What do we need these murder houses? We're not starving, therefore we don't need horse meat. I guess its all about the profit money huh?

I know of 4-H programs that need horses and would LOVE to have these horses that are labeled 'unwanted.'

Not so unwanted, are they now?...

THe answer to why we have the slaughter houses is because they (the u.s.)sends it over to Europe... i researched this years ago and was pissed then and i still am now... And i know the economy is horrible BUT that doesn't mean sell an animal that could be perfect to an ill child to that kind of place... I know my horse keeps me out of trouble...
